Age: Unknown, but as he is a shinigami like all the others, we know it’s a freaking massive amount of years.
Gender: Male
Sexuality: None. He has no love.

Appearance: At first glance, Aizen appears to be the nice kid in the corner who could never even have an evil thought in his life. He has brown hair that falls gently around his face in soft, short locks. Surrounded by the slightly unruly hair is a gentle face with full lips and droopy, golden, kind eyes that are protected by black, thick rimmed glasses. He has a rather manly jaw line and thick neck. He also is constantly found wearing his 5th Division Shinigami Captain’s uniform consisting of a white undershirt, black kimono and hakama, and a white haori that has a rhombus with the fifth division symbol.
Of course this is all a lie. That description is of the past Aizen that was originally loved… but that has all changed. The once seemingly kind and caring face has taken a much more sinister look. He has ditched the glasses and replaced the once welcoming mop of hair with a gelled back style that leaves one lock dangling in front of a rather arrogant and proud expression. He continued to wear what seems to be a similar style of the shinigami uniform but the captain’s haori has now been replaced with a white collared jacket of his own liking.

Personality: In all truthfulness, Aizen has two personalities: his true one and a mask… both of which are on two opposite ends of the spectrum.
Aizen’s “mask” is a type of man you would love to know. He is kind, soft-spoken, considerate, and giving. He is willing to help any person no matter how weak they are and even if he does not benefit from it whatsoever. He cares about every person as if they were his flesh and blood and would put himself in the line of danger to protect them.
Of course one must remember that this is not the REAL Aizen at all. In fact, it is far from it. Aizen Sousuke has no intentions of helping anyone but himself. He is stone hearted, manipulative, arrogant, and power hungry. He aspires to be God over all! He is willing to throw away lives to achieve his goal despite how close they may seem to him. Despite his calculating intellect and amazing ability to plan ahead precisely, moral is never considered in this cruel man’s thought process. He also has a very strong sense of justice, though that could be interpreted as a rather twisted and corrupted sense of justice which basically includes any rules that point to the benefit of him. And oddly enough, he has an amazing ability to judge peoples’ character accurately. This is exceptionally helpful when choosing subordinates… or in Aizen’s case, pawns.

Abilities/Weaponry: Aizen is equipped with the standard shinigami zanpaktou that is called Kyouka Suigetsu (translates into mirror flower water moon). This sword appears as ordinary as any other katana but it is no where near ordinary. The shinigami generally lies about its abilities, claiming that its power was the ability to use a mist to create illusions. Though Kyouka Suigetsu’s abilities are much more powerful and arguably the most powerful of the Soul Society’s. Basically, it can put anyone who sees it into complete hypnosis, forcing them to believe whatever Aizen wants and deceiving every one of their senses. What is more that even if one knows of this ability, it is impossible to avoid, leaving Aizen in complete control.
This ability is Aizen’s shi-kai. His ban-kai is even more overwhelming. When this is activated, the victim’s mind is overtaken by the ultimate hypnosis. Everything before your eyes can be changed to whatever Aizen sees fit and you forcibly believe it. It is so powerful it can affect the rest of one’s body, though it does not control movements. For example, one could be hypnotized to believe that they were being stabbed 100 times and would then feel the pain.
Also, Aizen has supposedly reached the limit of power that any shinigami captain could possibly achieve. This includes expertise in swordsmanship, hand-to-hand combat, footwork and demon arts. He is so powerful that he is capable of taking on multiple captain level shinigami without even being phased.

Weaknesses: Aizen’s arrogance is most definitely the trait that spawns off all weaknesses and faults. His pride in himself leads him to believe he is so high and mighty that someone may one day undercut him. He also is extremely trusting of the shinigami Ichimaru Gin, whose feelings don’t seem to be mutual as they used to be. He also disregards any others who seem “unworthy” to him. Aizen is very well known for his use of sending others out to do his dirty work which could ultimately foil his plans.

History: Aizen’s past prior to becoming the Gotei 13’s fifth captain is a true mystery. But as he continued to progress through the ranks of the fifth division, he saw the potential of both Kadame Tousen and Ichimaru Gin and secretly lured them to his side. He saw the same potential in Momo Hinamori, Izuru Kira and Renji Abarai. Hinamori and Kira remained loyal to him but Renji proved to do otherwise, hence his move to the eleventh division.
When Kuchiki Rukia arrived under arrest in the Soul Society containing the Hougyoko, however, Aizen’s hidden plans were set into action. He manipulates everyone in the Soul Society with the power of his zanpaktou to make them believe that he had been murdered or rather to make it seem as if Gin had murdered him, though Histugaya Toushirou was the only one to see this. Aizen then leaves a letter to Hinamori insisting that Hitsugaya was his murderer in order to make things easier for Gin and his other plans. Later, he kills all 46 members of the Central 46 Chambers and moves Rukia's execution date up 13 days. Rukia’s excecution caused a massive amount of controversy between the captains of the Gotei 13 and created more chaos than could possibly be needed. Of course… t his was very helpful to Aizen.
Gin then begins to proceed with the plan. This first leads Hinamori to Central 46 Chambers who discovers Aizen has indeed not died only to be betrayed and impaled by her beloved captain. Histugaya, who later sees this, challenges Aizen with an overwhelming rage only to fail at stopping Aizen’s plan.
It is then when Aizen and Gin move in to complete the plan. Tousen brings Aizen Rukia who is being defended by both Renji and Ichigo Kurosaki. Aizen quickly disposes of the two, though does not manage to kill them. He also nearly destroys Sajin Komamura, the seventh division captain, with a single spell. He then removes the Hougyoko from Rukia, which does not harm her in anyway, but orders Gin to kill her despite this. Gin was suddenly foiled by Byakuya Kuchiki who nearly dies in the attempt.
The sudden appearance of the rest of the able bodied captains nearly thwarts Aizen’s plans but he manages to escape to Hueco Mundo with the assistance of the Menos Grande. It is during his ascent that Aizen reveals his true cruelty by removing his glasses and combing back his hair, therefore destroying any mask that he may have portrayed to the Soul Society. He then announces, specifically to Captain Ukitake, that no one starts at the top of the world (not God, not Ukitake and not himself) and that he will be the one to stand at the top and end the unbearable vacancy on the world's throne. He also tells Ichigo that he is an 'interesting human' before fully disappearing.
He then executes another plan once he arrives in Hueco Mundo. With Tousen and Gin as his two most trusted subordinates, Aizen utilizes the Hougyoko in order to create beings called the Arrancar. Arrancar are once Hollows, or more specifically Menos Grande, who take up shinigami powers. These beings are extremely powerful and under Aizen’s control completely. He sends them out to Earth in order to test their true strength, revealing to the Soul Society bits of his plans though they seemed to have figured out his true intentions anyway.
Aizen plans to steal the great key known as the Ou Ken that unlocks the mini-world of the Soul Society’s King, who he plans on murdering to achieve more power than he already has.
It is only a matter of time before he executes his plans…


“No, sir. There has been no recent change in Karakura Town.”

Aizen Sousuke glanced down from his simplistic but powerful stone throne. His chiseled chin rested in a thin hand. The shinigami paused in order muse over the arrancar’s evaluation. His eyes closed while considering all possibilities. He still needed to collect 100,000 souls from the pathetic little town. He supposed he couldn’t have asked for an easier location even with the Soul Society assisting those insects called humans. But he’d be finished soon enough. He just needed to perfect the Espada and then he would be able to retrieve Ou Ken and his second plan could be set into motion.

“Very well…” the former captain announced waving his hand to dismiss the arrancar leaving the room empty except for him. Hueco Mundo was extremely dark and quiet but he preferred it this way. There were no petty problems of the Soul Society or useless customs. Here his word was all. He was God. That was how it was supposed to be. A cruel smile slide across Aizen’s face as this thought flittered through his mind. All was going according to plan…

The betrayer of the Soul Society pushed himself up from the heavy throne. “Hmm?” Aizen murmured feeling something beneath his hand. Upon the armrest was an object of his past and his mask: a pair of black, thick-rimmed glasses. He smiled once again as he picked up the spectacles. It was amazing how useful the small things could be. Every little detail was important. But how did these get here? Surely he did not leave them out… Nevertheless, he pocketed the glasses.

Well, many odd things have been happening lately… namely the disappearance of Gin. Out of all his subordinates, Gin was the only one who was actually decent to have around. The rest he would and be done with them. It was just for Ou Ken…

But Gin was now gone. To where? It wasn’t like Aizen hadn’t seen it. It wasn’t like he hadn’t seen the light that enveloped Ichimaru… that light had transported the shinigami to another place beyond Aizen’ control. It was this that truly frustrated him. What place was it that he could not get to? What wall could he not pass? This questioned his power and he would have to be rid of it if he truly wanted to succeed in his plot.

This had now been secretly plaguing him for days. He hadn’t kept Gin’s disappearance a secret as there was no need… but the poor, haphazard attempts to retrieve the shinigami by Tousen made the situation worse. For a brief moment he wanted to be free of this mystery or better yet… find an answer. Aizen closed his eyes once again and ran a hand through brown hair.

As if to answer this thought, a bright light seemed to burn through the ex-captain’s eyelids. He opened them briefly only to be blinded by a very bright light… a similar light… For a third time, Aizen smiled.

He was a God whose prayer had just been answered.
